New Delhi/Lucknow. BJP has released the list of 30 candidates for the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council elections. The party has fielded Dinesh Pratap Singh from Rae Bareli, Dharmendra Bhardwaj from Meerut Ghaziabad, CP Chand from Gorakhpur Maharajganj, Ravi Shankar Singh Pappu from Ballia and Arun Kumar Yadav from Azamgarh Mau. CP Chand and Ravi Shankar Singh Pappu joined the BJP from the SP.
Talking about other seats, BJP has won Satyapal Saini from Moradabad, Bijnor, Kunwar Maharaj Singh from Rampur Bareilly, Vagish Pathak from Bandayu, Sudhir Gupta from Pilibhit Shahjahanpur, Ashok Agarwal from Hardoi, Anoop Gupta from Kheri, Pawan Singh Chauhan from Sitapur, Lucknow. Ramchandra Pradhan from Unnao, Haripratap Singh from Pratapgarh, Angad Kumar Singh from Barabanki, Pragya Tripathi from Bahraich, Awadhesh Singh Manju from Gonda, Hariom Pandey from Faizabad, Ratanpal Singh from Deoria, Chanchal Singh from Ghazipur, K P Srivastava from Allahabad, Banda Hamirpur Jitendra Singh Sengar from Jhansi-Jalaun-Lalitpur, Rama Niranjan from Jhansi-Jalaun-Lalitpur, Pranshu Dutt Dwivedi from Etawah Farurkhabad, Vijay Shivhare from Agra Firozabad, Omprakash Singh from Mathura-Etah-Mainpuri and Ashish Yadav Ashu from second seat of Mathura-Etah Mainpuri, Rishipal from Aligarh Singh has fielded Narendra Bhati from Bulandshahr, and Vandana Mudit Verma from Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur.
Let us tell you that in the first phase of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council, the last date of nomination for the elections to be held on 30 seats is March 21. However, this time, including all the phases, a total of 36 seats will go to polls on April 9. The results will be announced on April 12.
The total number of members in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council is 100. The BJP, which is going to form the government again after getting a thumping majority in the assembly, is contesting the elections this time with the goal of getting a majority in the Legislative Council as well.
