New Delhi. The Allahabad High Court has taken a big decision regarding the birthplace of Shri Krishna in Mathura-Vrindavan. In fact, in 22 wards of Mathura-Vrindavan, a public interest litigation filed against the ban imposed on the sale of meat and liquor on the instructions of the UP government has been dismissed. Explain that the Yogi government had declared a radius of 10 square kilometers of the birthplace as a place of pilgrimage. After which the sale of meat and liquor was banned in Mathura and Vrindavan. Let us also tell you that there are 22 municipal ward areas in this area.
The petition was filed by social activist Shahida. Shahida said in her petition that the ban on the sale of meat and liquor should be lifted. He argued that people have a fundamental right to eat the food of their choice and the food of their choice. Not only this, the petition also accused the local police of causing pain to the people. While hearing Shahida’s petition, the court said, ‘India is a country of diversities. If unity is to be maintained in the country then equal respect and respect for all religions and communities is necessary. This unity is the beauty of this place.
It is worth noting that CM Yogi Adityanath had hinted in this regard on Krishna Janmashtami. He had said in the religious city of Mathura that this place should be declared a place of pilgrimage. Along with this, there was talk of banning the sale of liquor and meat here. Yogi informed about this decision while addressing the people after worshiping at the birthplace of Shri Krishna on the occasion of Janmashtami.
