UP News: Sanitation worker becomes a millionaire, buys 9 luxury cars, officers shocked to know his way of earning

Gonda. A shocking incident has come to light in Gonda district. A sweeper posted in Devipatan Commissioner’s Office first became a Nazir and then acquired property worth crores. Santosh Jaiswal, who became a Nazir from a sweeper, is the owner of many luxury cars. It is alleged that the sweeper collected crores of rupees by manipulating files. In fact, bypassing the rules, Santosh Kumar Jaiswal, a sweeper posted in Nagar Palika Parishad Gonda, was first made a Nazir in the Commissioner’s Office and was given important work. Then while being on the post of Nazir, sweeper Santosh Jaiswal acquired property worth crores of rupees by manipulating government files. He became the owner of luxury cars.

On receiving a complaint of tampering in the files, the then Commissioner Yogeshwar Ram Mishra had ordered an inquiry. After the revelations in the inquiry, he was suspended. A case was registered in the Nagar Kotwali. Along with this, Sadar Tehsildar Devendra Yadav was also directed to investigate the properties.

Information about luxury vehicles was sought from the ARTO. The Assistant Divisional Transport Officer verified the vehicles and the report revealed a shocking fact. The accused sanitation worker owns not one but nine luxury vehicles. These vehicles are in his, his brother’s and his wife’s names.

Investigation revealed that a Swift Dzire, an Ertiga Maruti Suzuki, a Mahindra Scorpio, a Toyota Innova and a Mahindra Xylo were purchased in the name of Safai Karamchari Santosh Jaiswal, while an Ertiga Maruti Suzuki was purchased in the name of his brother Umashankar Jaiswal and a Toyota Innova car was purchased in the name of his wife Baby Jaiswal. Now the account details of the Safai Karamchari have also been summoned. The officials have also asked for the last 5 years’ record from the bank. After getting the record, more stringent action will be taken against the accused Safai Karamchari Santosh Kumar Jaiswal.
