Gorakhpur. Gorakshpeethadhishwar and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the feeling of gratitude towards the creation, nature, ancestors and heritage is the first feature of Sanatan Dharma-Sanskriti. This sense of gratitude in Sanatan Hindu Dharma culture gives us new inspiration to move forward continuously. Under the weekly tribute ceremony organized to commemorate the 53rd death anniversary of CM Yogi Yugpurush Brahmalin Mahant Digvijaynath Ji Maharaj and 8th death anniversary of Rashtrasant Brahmalin Mahant Avadyanath Ji Maharaj, Tuesday (Ashwin Krishna Tritiya) on the death anniversary of Mahant Digvijaynath. He said that when Hanuman ji was going to Lanka, the mountain asked him that what is the definition of Sanatan Dharma? He replied that if someone is kind to you, it is the duty of Sanatan Dharma to show gratitude towards him. This is also its first symptom. Every Sanatan Dharmavali understands this feeling properly.
Goraksha Peethadheeshvara said that the cycle of life proceeds with the better coordination of matter-consciousness. This is the reason that our Sanatan Dharma has accepted the importance of flora and fauna equally. Twice in a year, we express our gratitude towards the primal power of the universe through Navaratri, while in the year one side we offer our gratitude towards our ancestors. Festivals are also a means of expressing gratitude towards festivals.
The virtuous memories of Brahmalin Mahantdvay inspire public welfare
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Gorakshapeeth has a wonderful tradition of expressing gratitude towards the ancestors for their heritage. The death anniversary of Brahmalin Mahant Digvijay Nath ji on the third day of Pitru Paksha and the death anniversary of Brahmalin Mahant Avedyanath ji on the Chaturthi tithi are related to each other. The virtuous memories of Brahmalin Acharyadvaya are automatically added to the event held here on this occasion. On this occasion, according to the values and ideals of the Mahantdvay for religion, society and the nation, various projects of education, health and service are connected with public welfare, they also get inspiration to take them further.

To protect religion and nation, along with the scriptures, our tradition is to do arms.
CM Yogi said that in the first freedom struggle of 1857, the British government had arrested Gopalnath ji, the then Mahant of Gorakshapeeth. He was accused of giving shelter to the revolutionaries. Whenever the need arose, the saints participated enthusiastically to protect the Sanatan Dharma. He said that for the protection of religion and nation, there has been a rich tradition of our saint society to do the research of weapons along with scriptures. It is also our heritage of thousands of years.
Need to restore Indian knowledge tradition
The Chief Minister said that it is necessary to restore our Indian knowledge tradition. Referring to Naimisharanya Dham, he said that this Dham is the land to record our Vedic tradition. But, at present, few people know about it. Prime Minister Narendra Modi brought the National Education Policy in India when the whole world was stricken by the Corona epidemic. This education policy is a means of imparting theoretical and practical knowledge to the youth as well as making them capable of technical knowledge. National Education Policy is also a succinct attempt to give modern form to our ancient Gurukul tradition.
The world is accepting India’s strength
The CM said that today the whole world is accepting the power of New India. In the crisis of Corona, the whole world considered the power of Ayurveda and Ayush as iron. World Yoga Day is being celebrated on 21st June with the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 200 countries on the global stage are becoming familiar with the importance of yoga by joining this event. A new standard of cleanliness, security and order was set in Kumbh 2019. It has been recognized on the global stage as an invaluable cultural heritage of humanity.
Success is not the result of individual effort but the result of collective effort
CM Yogi said that our shortcoming is that we do not try to evaluate any incident. We take success as personal effort. Success is not individual, but it is the result of collective efforts, every member of the team contributes to the success. For example, squirrels contributed no less than giant apes and bears in the construction of the bridge.
Gorakshpeeth’s organizations are moving ahead according to the sentiments of the founders
Gorakshpeethadhishwar said that Mahant Digvijaynath became Brahman 53 years ago, but since then there is no such year when there is no weekly program to express gratitude towards him. In this sequence, in the year 2017, the death anniversary centenary festival was organized in the memory of Yogiraj Gambhirnath. In these events, the society gets the guidance of saints and scholars on burning issues. Digvijaynath ji gave the Gorakshapeeth its present form. The flame of educational revolution was lit by laying the foundation of Maharana Pratap Education Council. His campaign was carried forward by Mahant Avadyanath. It is gratifying to see that the institutions of Gorakshapeeth are progressing well and country wisely according to the sentiments of their founders.
