New Delhi. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the results of the campaign to curb cyber criminals are now visible. ‘Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce Industry FICCI’ has honored UP STF with Smart Policing Award-21 in the field of Cyber Crime Management at its annual conference held in Delhi. FICCI presented this award at an event organized on Homeland Security. UP STF has been given this award for Jarvis Cyan Software Tool. Three days ago, in the 2021 report of NCRB, a significant reduction in cybercrime cases was also mentioned in the state.
Cases reduced due to the opening of cyber police stations at the range level
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had directed the UP Police to set up cyber police stations in different districts of the state to check the increasing cyber crime in the state. Under this, 18 cyber police stations were started at the range level, increasing the number of two cyber police stations operating in the state. Out of 1012 crimes registered in these police stations, 379 cases have been revealed, while more than 700 cyber criminals have been arrested and sent to jail. At the same time, an amount of Rs 68.69 crore was seized in the accounts. Also, Rs 6.40 crore has been recovered. After which there has been a decrease in the cases of cyber crime in the state.
22.6 percent less cases were registered as compared to 2020
FICCI also lauded the decreasing cyber crime cases in the state and honored UP STF ADG Amitabh Yash and Deputy SP Deepak Kumar Singh for smart policing award at the annual conference held in Delhi. In the 2021 report of NCRB also, the cases of cybercrime have come down to 8829, which is a decrease of 22.6 percent as compared to the year 2020. UP STF was honored with Smart Policing Award-21 in the field of Cyber Crime Management at FICCI’s Annual Conference held in Delhi. UP STF ADG Amitabh Yash and Deputy SP Deepak Kumar Singh received the award.
