New Delhi. The Samajwadi Party has a long history of domestic disputes. There have been reports of estrangement between father and son, sometimes between uncle and nephew. Meanwhile, now Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohia) chief Shivpal Yadav does not seem to be satisfied with elder brother Mulayam Singh Yadav and he has started saying this in public as well. Despite supporting Mulayam Singh’s son Akhilesh in UP’s election battle, Shivpal has been giving equal status to Mulayam’s father till now, but now he has started targeting him. Praspa chief Shivpal Yadav has once again accused Mulayam Singh Yadav of Azam Khan. Targeting Mulayam Singh, he said that “he did not try to release him”. It is worth mentioning that Shivpal Yadav had arrived in Lucknow on Tuesday to attend a program, where while talking to reporters, he expressed Azam’s pain and said that ‘Mulayam Singh Yadav should have made efforts for his release’. He further said, “26 months have passed (in jail) by taking Azam bhai in small cases, he is being harassed, he is in a lot of trouble, he is in a lot of trouble.”
Shivpal further said, “A lot of atrocities are happening with Azam Khan and in such a situation everyone should help. We went too. I had said that Netaji should have led the Samajwadi Party. It is being said that Shivpal Yadav is in the process of bringing Azam Khan, who is angry with the SP, with him. Due to this, he had also gone to Sitapur Jail in the past, where he met Azam Khan, the veteran Muslim leader of SP.
Let us tell you, Shivpal Yadav has accused Mulayam Singh Yadav earlier also saying that “If Akhilesh Yadav and Mulayam Singh Yadav had wanted, Azam Khan could have been brought out of jail. Apart from this, many close to Azam have also accused Akhilesh Yadav of ignoring and neglecting their leader. After this, Akhilesh Yadav also sent some of his leaders to Sitapur jail in an attempt to do damage control, but Azam Khan flatly refused to meet him.
