Gorakhpur. Even in the second term of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the journey of development of Gorakhpur is keeping pace. In order to enrich it with various dimensions of development, Gorakhpur is going to get the gift of Natural Science Museum. This will give wings to tourism promotion along with entertaining knowledge. This will be the first natural science museum of Purvanchal and soon CM Yogi will lay its foundation stone. In his second term, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to set up natural science museums in Hastinapur, Meerut and Gorakhpur in the state. The project of this museum to be established in Gorakhpur will cost about Rs 25 crore. This natural museum will be constructed as a one and a half acre multi-storey building in the premises of ‘Buddhist Museum’ located near Shaheed Ashfaq Ulla Khan Zoological Park in the planetarium area. On the instructions of CM Yogi Adityanath, the Culture Department has already sent a proposal to the Government of India.
Now after the announcement of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the administrative activities for its construction have increased again. Due to this, there is a lot of enthusiasm among the nature lovers. Eminent environmentalist and Green Oscar awardee Mike H. Pandey says that setting up of Natural Science Museum in Gorakhpur is a matter of pride for Purvanchal. With this, collection of animals, birds, endangered trees and plants that have become extinct or on the verge of extinction will also be possible. The museum will inculcate in our new generation an understanding of nature, science, fauna and flora and their interrelationship.
The bodies of animals will be kept safe
In the Natural Science Museum, the bodies of animals, birds, which were previously extinct, will be kept. They will be selected and brought from different places and museums in the country. The body of such flora and fauna will be protected by chemical coating or stuffing. In the museum they will be kept in such a way that they will be seen in living condition. Here literature and audio visual gallery related to them will also be created. Anita Agrawal, patron of Gorakhpur Heritage Foundation, tells that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will take another big step in the process of making Gorakhpur a city of knowledge. His move should be welcomed.
Tourism development will get a boost
With the construction of the Natural Science Museum, the new generation will get an opportunity to know the natural wealth and history, while tourism will also get a boost. Tourist facilities will be taken care of here. Buddhist Museum, Boating, Ramgarhtal, Shaheed Ashfaq Ullah Khan Zoological Park, International Water Sports Complex, Gita Press, Gorakhnath Temple, Sun Temple, Geeta Vatika, Budhiya Mata Mandir, Vinod Van, Kusamhi Jungle, Gorakhpur-Sohgibarwa Eco Tourist Circuit. Together, the countries will not only attract foreign tourists, but will also increase employment opportunities directly and indirectly.
