UPSC Prelims Exam 2024: The Civil Services Examination (Preliminary) 2024 of the Union Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has been postponed. The preliminary examination was to be held on 26 May 2024. According to the notification issued by UPSC, the examination has been postponed due to the Lok Sabha elections.
According to official information, the Commission has decided to postpone the Civil Services Preliminary Examination and Indian Forest Service Preliminary Examination 2024 due to the Lok Sabha elections. Vacancy in UPSC Civil Services Exam 2024
A total of 1056 vacant posts will be recruited through UPSC Civil Services Examination 2024. There are three stages of Civil Services Examination – Prelims, Mains and Interview. There are two papers of 200 marks each in Prelims exam – Paper-1 i.e. GS and CSAT. There are 100 questions in GS paper and 80 questions in CSAT. Each paper is of two hours. There is also negative marking on wrong answers. To pass CSAT, it is necessary to get at least 33 percent marks. Whereas shortlisting for Mains exam is done on the basis of marks obtained in GS i.e. Paper-1.
