What are the 5 major demands of UPSC aspirants?
UPSC aspirants have told their problems to coaching institutes many times but no action was taken on them. Now that the matter has progressed so much, they have once again got an opportunity to express their views and put forward their demands. Know what UPSC aspirants i.e. the youth of the country want.

1- UPSC Coaching Fees- The fee of UPSC coaching is in lakhs. It varies according to the batch and course. The more popular the coaching, the higher is its fee. UPSC aspirants now want government intervention in this. Not every candidate is able to clear the exam in the first attempt and has to pay lakhs of rupees for several years.

Their demand is that strict rules should be made regarding UPSC coaching fees.

2- UPSC Hostel Fee- In Old Rajinder Nagar and its surrounding areas, the landlords charge whatever rent they want. The rent of a small room, which can have only a single bed and a set of chair-table, is up to 15-18 thousand rupees. These are students and are dependent on their parents. In such a situation, it is not possible for them to pay such a high rent.

Their demand is that rules should be made for living rent and broker system here as well.

3- Lack of water- The accident that has drawn everyone’s attention to this area was caused by waterlogging. But do you know that the people of this area are also facing water shortage? Many aspirants say that first they pay so much money for accommodation, then due to lack of water for daily needs, they have to pay extra money to buy it.

Their demand is that basic facilities should be provided like a common citizen.

4- Water filling and wire- This area of Central Delhi is called the UPSC coaching hub. This is a youth area. 3 bright students lost their lives due to waterlogging here. Now you can imagine the condition of waterlogging here. The area gets flooded in just 15 minutes of rain. Along with this, the wires hanging outside every institution and house are no less than a danger bell.

UPSC candidates want that both these problems should be resolved as soon as possible.

5- Library System- Students preparing for UPSC and other competitive exams spend most of their time in the library. For them it is a safe space, their comfort space. Such a tragic incident in the same library has shaken everyone. Most UPSC coaching libraries are in the basement. The fees of basement libraries are less. It is cheaper for students to study here.

There need to be rules and regulations for where the library is being operated so that this does not happen in the future.

The students are angry with the directors of big coaching institutes. Most of the aspirants are waiting for their support in this hour of grief. At the same time, they are also very angry with the MCD because even after many complaints, the MCD workers did not take any action.
