Taking an important action, the Anti -Corruption Bureau has arrested Kamlesh Chanal, the health in -charge of Udaipur Municipal Corporation, taking a bribe of Rs 50,000. 8 thousand. Along with this, Anil has also been arrested as Jamadar in the Municipal Corporation. According to the information received, this action was taken by ACB. This operation was carried out by the Special Unit of Udaipur on the instructions of the headquarters.
ACB Director General of Police Dr. Ravi Prakash Meherra said that the complaint was received on 1 April 2025. The complainant is working as a cleaning worker in Udaipur Municipal Corporation. In June 2024, he suffered an injury to his hand due to an accident, due to which he was having trouble cleaning the drain from the shovel.
He sought a suitable job from Jamadar Anil. After this, Anil introduced him to health in -charge Kamlesh. Kamlesh removed him from the work of running the shovel for two months and put him on supervision work.
Bribery
But instead of this facility, Kamlesh demanded a bribe of Rs 10,000 per month from the complainant. In this way, he was being mentally harassed by demanding a total of 20 thousand rupees for two months. After continuous pressure, the complainant approached the ACB. Contacted and shared complete information. After confirming the veracity of the complaint, a plan was planned to be laid.
Caught red handed taking a bribe of Rs 8,000 in office
Under this scheme, ACB today under the supervision of Deputy Inspector General of Police, Udaipur Range, Mr. Rajendra Prasad Goyal. Special unit Udaipur took action. Accused Kamlesh Chanal was caught red handed taking a bribe of Rs 8,000 in the office located at Sector No. 09.
Also, accused Anil was also arrested, who instigated the complainant to bribe. ACB is interrogating both the accused under the supervision of Additional Director General of Police Smita Srivastava. The ACB has registered a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act and is conducting a detailed investigation.
