New Delhi. The state government is going to give a new flight to the vision of making UP clean and healthy. For this, the plan to make the state completely free from open defecation is being completed on a war footing. CM Yogi Adityanath, who took over the power of the state for the second time, has intensified the campaign to reach the benefits of the scheme to every village and every poor. On his call, a big target has been taken to build community toilets and Izzatghar in every village. To accomplish this, an action plan is being prepared to build 1494 community toilets and 2.41 lakh Izzatghars in the villages in 100 days. Panchayati Raj Department is playing an important role in realizing the dream of Swachh Bharat Mission. The government is fully committed to providing community toilets and Izzatghar facilities to every village and every poor.
The state government’s plan to build house-to-house toilets, which is part of the campaign to make the villages clean, has had a great impact in the last five years. The life of the people in the village has changed due to the gift of the house of honor. Especially women have got a big relief. This plan has completely eliminated the compulsion to leave the house in the dark of night. In the villages where the benefits of the government’s scheme have reached, the feeling of insecurity has disappeared from the minds of women.
The risk of diseases on the people of the village has also reduced. It is worth noting that the government has made all the gram panchayats of the state open defecation free during the last five years. A major achievement has been achieved by constructing 2.18 crore individual toilets. The target of constructing at least one community toilet per gram panchayat is being met. Under the scheme 58189 community toilets are to be constructed.
