As Ritu, had the helicopter arrived on time, she could have been saved from such great bodily harm. Ritu, who held the four-month-old girl on the shoulder, said that after the incident, she was told that Bibhor had suffered a minor injury. Later it was told that he would be taken to Delhi by chopper. It turned out that the chopper was too late. On Sunday, Ranbir Singh, General Secretary of the Confederation of Ex Paramilitary Forces Martyrs Welfare Association, met the family of the Assistant Commandant at the trauma center of AIIMS. The father of the cobra brave Bibhor Kumar Singh says that till now no minister of the central government has come to encourage the brave and inquire about his well being. Ritu, wife of Bibhor Kumar Singh, with a heavy heart blamed the existing system for not providing air ambulances.
Mi helicopter should be kept ready
Former ADG CRPF HR Singh, chairman of the Confederation, said, this force is the largest security force in India. CRPF conducts continuous security operations in view of Naxalites, terrorists and internal security. Despite this, why could not a separate Air Wing be formed for CRPF on the lines of BSF. MI helicopters need to be kept on standby in Naxal affected areas. With this, in case of emergency, the jawans can be shifted to bigger hospitals in time for treatment.
Injured jawans and officers should not be denied the benefit of promotion on the pretext of medical category. It is expected that the Union Home Minister or the Minister of State for Home will meet the family of the Cobra brave and encourage them. Confederation President Jayendra Singh Rana said that the captain of the Air Force helicopter should be suspended with immediate effect. He refused to fly the chopper on the pretext of visibility. Former IG and Supreme Court lawyer Suresh Kumar Sharma, who was in the anti-Naxal operation, has assured the victim’s family that 20 lakh paramilitary families are standing with the brave Cobra commander in this hour of crisis.
Not getting air ambulance on time is shameful
General Secretary Ranbir Singh said that the way the BSF has its own air wing, then why India’s largest paramilitary force ‘CRPF’ could not get this wing yet. Hundreds of battalions of CRPF have been fighting Naxalites in Naxal dominated states for the last 15 years. Soldiers are getting martyred every day. It is shameful for the government to not get medical aid and air ambulance in time.
Former IG Suresh Kumar Sharma said, Politicians claim to be big nationalists. Who is accountable about the paramilitary who come draped in the tricolour? Governments are busy in the election season, there is an atmosphere of celebration everywhere, politicians are trying every trick to win day and night, but about the facilities of the jawans, the Ministry of Home Affairs Kumbhakarni is sleeping. Had the Assistant Commandant of CoBRA been admitted to AIIMS Trauma Center in time by air ambulance, Bibhor Kumar Singh would not have had the chance to amputate both his legs.
