Which side will win in the pitched battle in Seemanchal?
NDA has full hope of Modi wave in Seemanchal.
India Alliance has faith in caste equation.
Independent Pappu Yadav can make a difference in Purnia.
Patna. In the second phase of Lok Sabha elections, votes will be cast in Purnia, Katihar, Kishanganj, Bhagalpur and Banka of Bihar. Of these, three seats are from Seemanchal and two from Anga region. Although the competition is tough on all the seats, but there is an interesting fight on three seats of Seemanchal. At present no one is in a position to clearly say in whose hands the game will go. But, claims are being made from both sides that victory will be theirs. However, you would definitely like to know what the politics of Seemanchal says. So let us assess this.
Let us tell you that under the second phase in Seemanchal, there are elections on three seats of Katihar, Purnia and Kishanganj. Among these, last time Kishanganj went to Congress and Katihar and Purnia were in JDU’s account. This time, NDA not only has the challenge of saving its two seats, but NDA has put in all its strength to win Kishanganj seat also.
Triangular competition expected in Kishanganj
Talking about Kishanganj seat, the fight here has become triangular. Party’s state president Akhtarul Iman is in the fray from AIMIM, who has his own special vote bank. He also has a strong hold in Seemanchal. Let us tell you that in the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, AIMIM had won five Assembly seats and this time too the party has put in all its strength. Asaduddin Owaisi is also continuously holding public meetings and targeting NDA as well as Congress and INDI alliance. At the same time, sitting MP from Congress, Mohd. Javed is there and there is a big challenge to win the traditional seat of Congress. Rahul Gandhi has also invigorated the Congressmen for the party candidate in Kishanganj during his visit. Congress hopes that its traditional seat will remain with it, for which the alliance has put in all its strength.
Master Mujahid from NDA, know the equation
On behalf of NDA, JDU’s Master Mujahid is in the fray and JDU’s efforts and hope are that in the division of votes between AIMIM and Congress candidate, its candidate can win. Actually, BJP’s Hindu vote is expected to be completely with JDU and if Muslim vote goes to Mohd. It can be beneficial if it is divided between Javed and Akhtarul Iman. If we look at the caste equation of Kishanganj seat, then about 67 percent are Muslim voters and about 31 percent and two percent have votes from other castes and religions. The three main Muslim castes in Kishanganj seat are Surajpuri, Shershahwadi and Kulhaiya Muslim. But, it is a strange coincidence that all three party candidates are Surajpuris.
Tariq and Dulalchand in a close fight in Katihar
Now let us talk about Katihar where the contest is between NDA and Grand Alliance. Congress has fielded its veteran leader Tariq Anwar from here. At the same time, he is being given competition by JDU MP from Katihar, Dulchand Goswami, who is also the NDA candidate this time. Katihar is also considered a Muslim dominated area and about 41 percent of the population here is Muslim and about 59 percent is Hindu population. From the point of view of caste equation, the Grand Alliance seems to have the upper hand, because in Katihar there are around 11 percent Yadav voters. However, when the election day comes closer, Hindu-Muslim politics reaches its peak in Katihar, the advantage of which was given to the JDU candidate last time. This time too the NDA candidates are pinning their hopes on the same equation.
Purnia became the hottest seat, three-way fight here too
Now talking about Purnia, this time Purnia seat has become the hottest seat of Bihar. In fact, this time Pappu Yadav, who is contesting as an independent, has made the fight on this seat very exciting. The main contest in Purnia seat is between RJD candidate Bima Bharti, JDU’s sitting MP Santosh Kushwaha and independent Pappu Yadav. Pappu Yadav wanted to contest the elections on Congress ticket, but he alleges that Tejashwi Yadav has deliberately tried to politically assassinate Bima Bharti by fielding him on this seat. After this, first he became very emotional and then he came into the field with full aggression and narrated his fight with the NDA. At the same time, Tejashwi Yadav has also put in all his strength to win this seat. A big example of this can be understood as when he said that either vote for NDA or vote for the Grand Alliance, but not for anyone else.
PM Modi’s confidence in Purnia’s NDA candidate
At the same time, JDU candidate Santosh Kushwaha hopes that she will vote for him after knowing the benefits of Prime Minister Modi’s wave and Nitish Kumar’s development work and for the peace of Purnia. People of Purnia are peace loving people and will not choose such people due to which the peace of Purnia will be disturbed. If we talk about the caste equation of Purnia, then in Purnia approximately the votes of MY equation are Muslim – 5 lakh, Yadav – 2 lakh, Mandal – 2 lakh, Tribal – 1.2 lakh, Brahmin – 1-1.5 lakh, Rajput – 1-1.5 lakh. Along with SC there are 3-3.5 lakh voters. While RJD is counting on the extremely backward voters of its candidate Bima Bharti along with MY equation, Santosh Kushwaha is hopeful of Luv Kush along with the upper caste and extremely backward voters.
Pappu Yadav is busy gathering sympathy from every house.
The most interesting among all these is the efforts of Pappu Yadav who is not only trying to make a dent in the MY equation but is also trying to get sympathy votes from other castes, due to which the RJD candidate is in trouble. Has increased. The special thing is that Pappu Yadav has been calling Purnia his workplace and you can see its example. Actually, there are people in almost every section of Purnia who know and respect Pappu Yadav. Although there is still a lot of doubt in some quarters regarding his old image, Pappu Yadav is continuously engaged in public relations and is campaigning from door to door. In such a situation, experts say that if public sympathy leans towards Pappu Yadav, then it is possible that NDA may get the benefit of the infighting within the Grand Alliance.
