For this reason the risk of seasonal diseases increases. Also, with the arrival of summer, there is a possibility of diseases like malaria and dengue due to increase in mosquitoes. Local 18 talked to the doctor of Kangra District Hospital regarding this.
Dr. Ramanjot Kaur of Kangra District Hospital told Local 18 that the temperature in this area increases every year during summer. Due to this, the risk of dengue, malaria, vomiting, diarrhea and fever increases. If we talk about now, most of the patients suffering from these diseases are coming to the district hospital. Dr. Kaur told that to avoid these diseases during summer, we need many types of prevention. Since the temperature remains high during these days, one should avoid eating outside, fast food, Golgappa etc. To ensure that there is no shortage of water in the body, glucose and ORS should also be consumed. It is very important to take special care of food and drink in this season.
What to do and what not to do?
- Drink plenty of water.
- As soon as diarrhea occurs, drink a glass of water immediately.
- Drink water only at normal temperature, too hot or too cold water is not good for diarrhea.
- Drink chamomile tea and lemon tea.
- Stop consuming alcohol immediately.
- Leave apple juice and drink juices of other fruits.
- Stop consuming fried food.
- Do not eat processed and packaged food.
- Do not consume milk products other than curd and buttermilk.
- Do not consume food which causes gas.
- Eat light food like khichdi and porridge.
- Make banana and apple jam and eat it.
