New Delhi. Samar Jai Singh was once a big TV star, but nowadays no one knows about his whereabouts. Whereas sometimes people used to worship him like Lord Shankar. Samar Jai Singh played the role of Lord Shiva in the serial ‘Om Namah Shivay’ in the 90s. This serial, which came 27 years ago in 1997, was the first serial which became very famous because of the character of Lord Shiva. Fans still remember this serial very well.
Hardly anyone else would have got the popularity that Samar got from this show. He had impressed the audience with this show. The situation was such that people started thinking of him as Lord Shiva in real life also. But alas, his status did not last long and he left the world of acting and went back.
Let us tell you that Samar comes from a very good and educated family. His father was a doctor and mother a housewife. His elder brother and cousin brother are also doctors. Along with this, Samay himself wanted to do well in studies and practice law. However, his wish could not be fulfilled and he became an actor.
According to a throwback report of Dainik Bhaskar, Samar was giving the final year exams of LLM. Then he got his first break on TV. He left his studies to become an actor and started shooting for that serial. Only 4 episodes of his show had been shot so far when he got entangled in a court case.
Apart from this, it has also been claimed in the report that Samar was happy with the popularity he got from ‘Om Namah Shivay’ but he was also very sad after playing the role of Lord Shiva. He had once said about this that if he had not played the character of Shivji, he would have got more opportunities. Because of Shivaji’s image, many jobs came to him but he could not work in them. Now let us tell you that Samar Singh has disappeared from the world of TV. According to media reports, these days Samar lives in Mumbai but away from limelight. As an acting coach, he is running his own acting school, the foundation of which he laid in 2005.
