New Delhi. Delhi Police will produce accused Vibhav Kumar in the alleged attack case on Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal in court today as his five-day police custody is coming to an end. The police will inform the court about its findings during the five-day custody and may request an extension of his remand.
Swati Maliwal ready for polygraph test
On the other hand, Swati Maliwal broke her silence on the attack and addressed the media. She reiterated her allegations and said that Vibhav slapped her seven to eight times, dragged her by her feet in the drawing room and kicked her. Despite the attack, no one came to her help. Maliwal also expressed her desire to undergo a polygraph test and clarified that she has not given a clean chit to Arvind Kejriwal.
Police investigation in Mumbai
Recently, Delhi Police took Vibhav Kumar to Mumbai. It is alleged that Vibhav tried to erase evidence by formatting his phone. The police was in Mumbai to investigate his contacts. Today, Delhi Police will tell the court what it has found out so far.
Kejriwal’s parents questioned
Delhi Police is expected to question Arvind Kejriwal’s parents and his wife Sunita Kejriwal soon. According to reports, Kejriwal’s parents had asked the police to meet them at 11:30 am on Thursday, but the questioning did not take place at that time. Arvind Kejriwal has said that there are two sides to this case and the police should conduct an impartial investigation to ensure justice.
