By defeating CSK by 27 runs, RCB confirmed its place in the playoffs for the 9th time. During this, former CSK captain MS Dhoni entertained the audience a lot by hitting a 110 meter long six. Dhoni hit this six in the last over of the match. He could not lead his team to victory but he entertained his fans present in the stadium with his explosive innings. This six of Dhoni is the longest six of IPL 2024. Earlier, RCB wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik had the record of hitting the longest six this season.
MS Dhoni took Yash Dayal’s ball out of the stadium in the last over of the match. CSK (RCB vs CSK) needed 17 runs in the last over to qualify for the playoffs. Dhoni sent the first ball of this over from Yash Dayal over fine leg outside the stadium for six runs. Dayal bowled a low full toss towards the leg stump. Dhoni, with all his might, sent the ball 110 meters away outside the stadium for a six. After this, the enthusiasm of CSK fans was palpable. However, Dhoni was out on the very next ball. He scored 25 runs on 13 balls.
