New Delhi. The Indian cricket team is ready for its new mission after winning the ICC T20 World Cup. Team India has reached Zimbabwe to play a series in this format. BCCI has appointed Shubman Gill as the captain for the 5-match series. After the T20 World Cup, the contract of head coach Rahul Dravid ended and now he will not be with the team. The Indian team will play its first match on this tour on 6 July.
The selectors have given a chance to the youth for the T20 series against Zimbabwe. Indian Premier League stars like Riyan Parag, Abhishek Sharma and Harshit Rana may get a chance to debut under the captaincy of Shubman Gill. Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shivam Dubey and Sanju Samson, who were part of the T20 World Cup team, have been given a place in the team for this series but after returning to India, they will leave for Zimbabwe tour.
