New Delhi. The Indian cricket team has embarked on a new mission with its new coach. Gautam Gambhir’s career as a coach is starting with the T20 series on the Sri Lanka tour. Former Indian coach Rahul Dravid has given a special message to his successor Gautam Gambhir to deal with the challenges he may have to face. Gambhir also became emotional with Dravid’s message.
Dravid left the post of head coach after India became champion in the T20 World Cup played in America and West Indies last month. Gambhir was appointed as the head coach in his place. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released a video on X, in which Dravid said, “A message from one coach of the Indian cricket team to another coach: Take a deep breath and take a step back in the most difficult times. My best wishes to you Gautam. I am confident that you will take the Indian team to new heights.”
