Naxalite attack in Chhattisgarh
Narayanpur: In Narayanpur, Chhattisgarh, Naxalites attacked the security forces camp. Naxalites attacked Narayanpur’s Irkbhatti camp with country-made bombs and rocket launchers. But the security forces were very alert and gave a befitting reply to the Naxalites. The security forces have not suffered any damage in the Naxalite attack. All the soldiers are safe.
Incident of Kohkameta police station area
According to the information, this incident is from Kohkameta police station area. Actually, the security forces had set up camp here. During this time, the Naxalites attacked their camp. After which the soldiers also showed courage and fired back. Seeing the soldiers getting the upper hand, the Naxalites fled from there. After which all the police station camps were alerted. Narayanpur SP Prabhat Kumar has confirmed the attack.
Tightening grip on Naxalites
Let us tell you that security forces in Chhattisgarh have launched a massive campaign against Naxalites. Just two days ago, security forces arrested nine Naxalites in Naxal-affected Bijapur district, one of whom had a reward of Rs 5 lakh on his head. Explosives, backpacks and other items were recovered from the arrested Naxalites.
Five Naxalites arrested
Police officials said that in another incident, security forces arrested five Naxalites from near Kuprel and Mandem villages in Farsegarh police station area who were involved in blowing up the vehicle of Farsegarh police station in-charge with a landmine on May 15. The vehicle was damaged in this explosion and the police station in-charge had a narrow escape. They said that the arrested Maoists used to plant landmines, collect levy, block roads and put up banners in the area. Officials said that the campaign against Naxalites is continuing in the area.
8 Naxalites surrendered
Earlier on June 2, eight Naxalites surrendered before the security forces. Four of them had a total reward of Rs 5 lakh on their heads. The eight surrendered Naxalites also included three women who were allegedly tasked with blocking roads, putting up Maoist pamphlets and posters, obtaining information about security personnel and illegal extortion for the Maoists. Of those who surrendered, female Naxalite Vetti Mase (42) had a reward of Rs 2 lakh on her head. Three other Naxalites Sagar alias Deva Madkam (31), Podiam Nande (30) and Sodhi Tulsi (32) had a reward of Rs 1 lakh each. (Report-Alexander)
