New Delhi. The central government is planning a grand event for the upcoming swearing-in ceremony of Narendra Modi. The government has requested space for 7,000 to 8,000 guests from the President’s Secretariat. Narendra Modi is set to take oath as Prime Minister for the third consecutive time. According to media reports, the ceremony is likely to take place on Sunday, June 9, although no official announcement has been made yet. The event will see the presence of various prominent personalities in various fields, including lawyers, doctors, artists, cultural figures and influential people. Around 50 prominent religious leaders from different religions will also be invited. Additionally, workers from the Central Vista Project, transgender persons, ambassadors of a developed India, sanitation workers and beneficiaries of government schemes will be among the invitees.
According to sources, BJP national office bearers, national executive committee members, outgoing MPs, all MPs, MLAs, MLCs, district presidents, cluster in-charges, and Lok Sabha in-charges will attend the function. Participants felicitated by the Prime Minister in his “Mann Ki Baat” programme, tribal women, and Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan, and Padma Shri awardees will also be present. It is aimed at showing representation from all sections of society.
The NDA has secured a majority in the recent Lok Sabha election results, winning 293 seats, with the BJP alone securing 240 seats. This majority paves the way for Narendra Modi to become the Prime Minister for the third time. Modi has already been elected as the leader of the NDA in a post-election meeting. Another NDA meeting is scheduled for today, where Modi will be officially invited to lead the alliance. After this, letters of support from the MPs will be presented to President Draupadi Murmu.
