After joining BJP, boxer Vijender Singh said that I have joined BJP for the development of the country and to serve the people. I want that I can solve the problems faced by people and especially players. He said that if any player has any problem, I will talk to him and try to find a solution to that problem. For the last few days, there was talk that Vijender Singh may contest elections from Congress. It was being said that Congress was considering fielding Vijender from Mathura, but today after Vijender joined BJP, all speculations came to an end.
Let us tell you that Vijender Singh has earlier contested elections on Congress ticket. Vijender had contested the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from South Delhi on Congress ticket, however, he lost to BJP candidate Ramesh Vidhuri in this election. Apart from this, Vijender was also a part of Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra. During this time, a picture of him showing off his mustache with Rahul Gandhi had gone viral. While sharing this picture, Rahul Gandhi himself had written, ‘Town on moustache, strength in arms, steely intentions, passionate steps.’
