A case of selling a population land of lakhs of rupees has been reported by the current sarpanch and village development officer of Gram Panchayat Gurlan of Gangapur-Sahada assembly constituency and selling the land of lakhs of rupees for only 200 rupees. In this regard, villagers Kailash Mali, Prahlad Mali, Ramesh Mali, Narpat Singh etc. of Gurlan have demanded a memorandum to the District Collector and Chief Executive Zilla Parishad and demanded a record seize. According to the information, the villagers said that in the notice issued by Sarpanch Shravan Gurjar and Village Development Officer Sunil Sharma of Gurlan Gram Panchayat on 12 March 2025, told that Bhilwada resident Brijesh son Ghanshyam and Shyam Lal son Chandrashekhar, letter no. The population was given in connection with the illegal polls on the land and encroached. Also, there was a warning to remove encroachments if the legal documents were not submitted within three days. But till now no action has been taken against the said trespassers. As a result, the atriumos sold the said plot on stamp for Rs 16 lakh 50 thousand. Later, this plot was sold to others for Rs 40 lakh. The Village Development Officer and Sarpanch together prepared the crousing documents and issued leases to many people on the date of 06 December 2024. According to the information, the sarpanch and the village development officer along with the trespasted, showed the possession from 19 March 1955. While the plot is empty, and there is no construction on them, nor has any kind of electricity and tap connection on the plots. The villagers said that the sarpanch and the village development officer have sold the land worth lakhs of rupees of the Gram Panchayat and sold them. If the administration investigates it, a big land scam can come out.
