Sanawad (Naiduniya News). Villagers are facing problems due to the bad condition of the road connecting village Dhakalgaon to Toklay villages. Due to the absence of a culvert, one has to go through the river itself. There is neither a road nor a culvert for traffic on either side of the river from village Dhakalgaon to Toklay road. Many farmers’ fields are on this route. This route is used to bring agricultural equipment and produce to the fields. From here villagers can go directly to Sala, Birali, Toklay, Satajna, Bedia to Khargone or Kasrawad. They will not have to go through Sanawad additional 15 km. Across the river is the Nag temple. Where on Nagpanchami, thousands of devotees cross the river with the flowing water of rain in the river, risking their lives to worship the snake deity. There is also a cemetery of Muslim society on the other side of the same river. If the river is in spate during the rainy season, then the road gets completely obstructed. Villagers Mayaram Shah, Anandram Birla, Dashrath Chaudhary, Anandram Choudhary, Jitendra Pomadia told that villagers are using this route for almost 50 years. But no one seriously tried to solve it.
Vehicles get stuck on the road in the rain
Villagers told that the direct road gets closed when there is water in the river. In the event of less water in the river, it has to be crossed. In which children are also included. The land of Dhakalgaon farmers is also on the other side of the river, they also face difficulty in reaching their fields and transporting the crops. Soil has accumulated on the banks of the river. Due to which the vehicles get stuck. They are pulled out with the help of tractor trolley. Even small vehicles are unable to reach the village due to the unpaved approach road to Toklay village. During the rainy season, due to the mud on the road, it becomes difficult for pedestrians and two wheelers to pass through. The villagers have demanded the construction of a culvert and a road soon.
The Panchayat has prepared a stoppage proposal and sent it for administrative approval regarding the construction of a pucca road and the construction of a culvert for the access road from Dhakalgaon to Toklay. Once approved, the work will be done. -Mahendra Birla, Sarpanch, Gram Panchayat Dhakalgaon
