In the year 2013, cattle feed worth Rs 22.50 crore was sent to Maharashtra due to drought. In 2014, other accused including Vipul Chowdhary were accused of scam. After investigation by the police, a charge sheet of 21,000 pages was filed. After this, the Mehsana court convicted 15 accused and then sentencing hearing. A total of 22 people were made accused in this case. Three have died in this. In this case, Vipul Chowdhary was accused of causing damage to the dairy. The Chief Court of Mehsana had recently issued summons to former state CM Shankar Singh Vaghela and Congress leader Arjun Modhwadia in the same case. Then both the leaders appeared in the court as witnesses.
Went to jail even before elections
Vipul Chowdhary, former Home Minister of Gujarat and ex-chairman of Dudhsagar Dairy in Mehsana, was arrested by the ACB from his Gandhinagar bungalow ahead of the assembly elections. Till then he was accused of scam in bonus point while being the chairman of Amul. In this case, it was said that he had grabbed crores of rupees by forming 17 fake companies. After this, there was an allegation of transfer of Rs 800 crore. Vipul Chowdhary was in jail for a long time in this case. Vipul Chowdhary got bail after the elections were over and he was able to come out. Vipul Chowdhary’s troubles have increased once again after the decision of the Mehsana court.
