'Water seller' became the reason for Sheikh Hasina's coup! A mistake by the police played the spoilsport, she was forced to flee to India

There are many reasons why Sheikh Hasina fled Bangladesh. But there is one reason that incited the anger of the students. They decided that they will not relent until Sheikh Hasina’s government is ousted from power. This was the incident of the death of a water-carrier… This person used to distribute water bottles to the protesting students. He used to control traffic so that there would be no problem in the protest. But one mistake by the police changed the whole game. The situation reached such a point that Sheikh Hasina had to leave the post of Prime Minister and flee the country. Today the last words of that person are on the lips of every Bangladeshi.

The person who was giving water to the students was none other than Mir Mahfuzur Rahman Mugdho, a student of Bangladesh University of Professionals. Mugdho was distributing food, water and biscuits to the protesters amidst the violent clashes when he was shot dead on 18 July. His videos went viral on social media. In this, Mugdho was seen running amidst the violence. Seeing this, the anger of the students flared up even more. On the same day, tributes were paid to Mugdho across the country. Students saluted him.

‘Paani lagbe paani’… on everyone’s lips
‘Pani lagbe paani’ (take water) were the last words of Mudho. Today these words are on the lips of every citizen of Bangladesh. Everyone is remembering him with these words. Students are giving him the title of national hero. Eulogies are being composed in his praise. Rakib, who is studying marketing in Tejgaon College, said, our brother was shot while giving water to the protesters. We are giving water to the people in his honor. He is a national hero for us. Arif, a student of Dhaka University, says, we want to continue what Mudho started. He has entrusted us with a responsibility, we do not want to forget it.

He has a water brand named after him
According to the report of Dhaka Tribune, female students are also her admirers. Tahmina, a student of Mohangor Nursing College, says, I think that to honor Mugdho, there should be a water brand in the country in her name. This can be a way to remember her forever and pass it on to the next generation. The students demand that companies selling bottled water should give a part of their earnings to Mugdho’s family. Some students are controlling traffic at intersections just like Mugdho, so that they can preserve the memories of Mugdho. Student Naseema has been living on the road since the movement. She wants some help to rebuild Bangladesh. She said, we should ensure such a Bangladesh where people of all classes can live in harmony. There can be no greater tribute to Mugdho than this.
