According to the information received so far, the Indian Army has succeeded in rescuing about 1000 people with the help of a temporary bridge during the rescue operation in Wayanad district. The army had built a bridge after the permanent infrastructure in the area was washed away. State teams are also actively involved in the rescue operation and the Navy and Air Force are also contributing equally.

146 people died

According to the latest update, a total of 146 people have died so far due to the landslide in Wayanad, Kerala. According to the information, the postmortem of 143 of these bodies has been completed. Officially 98 people are missing but the number may be more than this.

Some sniffer dogs will come from New Delhi

Giving information, a senior army officer said that due to darkness, it was suggested to stop the rescue operation. More than 1000 people have been taken to safe places in the area. Some dead bodies have also been recovered. 18 to 25 people are still trapped in the area. Some sniffer dogs are also being brought from New Delhi for the rescue operation. (input language)
