New Delhi. Congress leader Gandhi will have to decide by tomorrow i.e. Tuesday on which seat to leave, Wayanad or Rae Bareli. If Rahul Gandhi does not leave any one of these two seats by tomorrow, he will lose both the seats. According to the rules of the Election Commission, if a candidate contesting on two seats wins on both seats, then he will have to resign from one seat within 14 days of the result being declared. If one seat is not left within the stipulated time limit, then both the seats will be considered vacant. Let us tell you that the result of the Lok Sabha elections was declared on June 4, in which Rahul Gandhi has won both Wayanad and Rae Bareli seats. Now it will be 14 days since the result was declared, so Rahul will have to take a decision by tomorrow at any cost.
It is worth noting that recently while addressing the people of Wayanad, Rahul Gandhi had said that a strange dilemma has arisen in front of me. I am not able to decide whether to leave Wayanad seat or Rae Bareli. He said, although I do not want to leave either of the two seats, but this is not possible. During this time, Rahul had definitely promised the public that whatever my decision will be, both Wayanad and Rae Bareli will be happy with it. By the way, it is definitely difficult for Rahul to choose one of the two seats because on one hand there is the seat of Wayanad which saved Rahul’s honor in 2019 when he lost from Amethi and made him win again in 2024, on the other hand there is the VVIP seat of Rae Bareli, considered to be the traditional seat of the Gandhi family, which was discussed all over the country. By the way, it is being speculated that Rahul Gandhi will keep the Rae Bareli seat with himself and resign from Wayanad.
