The investigation of King Raghuvanshi murder case was spread in three states – Meghalaya, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. The police of these three states worked hard to solve the case of this case. King Raghuvanshi was a resident of Indore in Madhya Pradesh, while his honeymoon trip was in Shillong, Meghalaya, where he was brutally murdered. His own wife Sonam Raghuvanshi was arrested from Ghazipur in UP.
In this way, this case remained at the center of police investigation by the police of three states, but especially the police of Indore and Shillong worked hard day and night to resolve the matter. After 17 days of strict inquiry and investigation, the police opened all aspects of the case. Now the five accused are under police custody and Meghalaya Police is going to Shillong with them.
Exclusive conversation with ACP Crime Branch Poonam Chand Yadav
The TV9 Digital team interacted with the Indore Police’s ACP Crime Branch Poonam Chand Yadav. He said that all the accused arrested in Madhya Pradesh have confessed their crime. During interrogation, the accused told that they reached Guwahati before the train and then went to Shillong from there. All the accused together conspired to kill King Raghuvanshi and carried out him.
ACP Poonam Chand Yadav further said that blood stains have been found on the time of murder on the clothes of accused Vishal, who have been sent for forensic investigation. He said that Sonam can also be brought from Shillong to Indore if needed. The Shillong Police team is also cooperating with the Indore police in the investigation.
Complete incident of marriage and murder incident
Sonam and Raja were married on 11 May in Indore. On the ninth day of marriage i.e. 20 May, both went on a honeymoon trip to Meghalaya. He was missing since 23 May, after which the family tried to find him. The family started making some allegations that a local faction in Meghalaya had killed the king and kidnapped Sonam to Bangladesh. Meanwhile, the Shillong police continued to investigate.
On June 2, the king’s body was found in a deep ditch near a waterfall in Sohra area of East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya. The post -mortem report made it clear that the king was murdered with a sharp weapon.
Social media post gives important clues to police
During the investigation, it was also revealed that Sonam did not put a picture on social media during the honeymoon, while she was an active user of social media. After the murder, a post was posted from the king’s account, which said, “Seven births are with,” which deepened the suspicion of the police.
On June 4, the police found blood stains in Sonam’s Rainkot, which belonged to the killer Akash. Due to rain, Sonam gave her raincoat to Akash. After receiving blood in forensic investigation, the police came to know that Sonam was not missing but hidden.
Arrest under ‘Operation Honeymoon’
On 8 June, the Meghalaya Police arrested the accused by running ‘Operation Honeymoon’. Sonam’s boyfriend Raj Raghuvanshi was caught from Indore. Sugar killers Anand, Akash Rajput and Vishal alias Vicky Thakur were also arrested from various places. Vicky Thakur first attacked the king with a sharp weapon. Police said the weapon used for the murder was taken from the Guwahati railway station.
Further action
Shillong police said that the team has left for Shillong on tonight’s flight with the accused. The Indore police say that it will cooperate with all possible investigation in the investigation.
