New Delhi. The issue of giving OBC reservation to Muslims has gained momentum in West Bengal. As soon as this matter reached the High Court, the court declared this reservation wrong and ordered the state government to cancel all such OBC reservation certificates given after 2010. After this, Mamata Banerjee clearly refused to accept this order of the court. On this statement of Mamta, political rhetoric has intensified in BJP and TMC also.
On Thursday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah strongly countered the remarks of Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Home Minister Shah said, “The strings of this case are connected to when Mamata gave reservation to 118 Muslim castes under OBC status without any backwardness survey process. After this, the matter reached the High Court and the court ordered the cancellation of all the certificates issued from 2014 to 2024. “

Home Minister Shah said that Mamata Banerjee is robbing the backward class reservation and giving it to Muslims for her own benefit. Welcoming the decision of the High Court, Amit Shah said, “I want to question the people of West Bengal whether a person holding the constitutional post of Chief Minister can be such a person who disobeys the order of the High Court. Don’t know what kind of mentality the democracy of West Bengal is passing through. Shah said, “The government will ensure that the High Court decision is respected in the state, only those who need reservation get it, and not those whom Mamata Didi’s government is giving it to for vote bank. Why should those who are not backward get reservation?
