New Delhi. Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is currently on a visit to Australia. Where he is doing such diplomatic moves one after the other, seeing that the neighboring country of Pakistan is also praising him. On Sunday, Jaishankar held a joint press conference with Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong in the Australian capital Canberra. Here he took on the Western countries in his own style on a question related to Russia.
Regarding buying arms from Russia, he said that western countries did not give arms to India for decades. So the arms had to be taken from Russia. Along with this, Jaishankar said that instead of giving arms to India, western countries gave weapons to the military dictatorship government of Pakistan and they use the same weapons on their neighboring countries.
Significantly, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar reached Canberra on Monday. Here he was welcomed with tricolor honours. Under this, the Parliament House of Australia was seen shining with the colors of the tricolor. On this, the External Affairs Minister tweeted and said, ‘Arrived to welcome us in Canberra. Glad to see the Australian Parliament painted in the tricolour. This is the second visit of External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to Australia this year. He had previously attended the Quad Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in February 2022. Today India’s foreign policy is considered one of the best foreign policies in the world due to the diplomatic acumen of S Jaishankar.
Taking history, Russia-India relations have been good.
Speaking on relations with Russia, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said, “We have a long-standing relationship with Russia and it has been good between the two countries. We have enough weapons of Soviet and Russian origin. Russian weapons have increased for certain reasons, the biggest of which is that for decades, Western countries did not supply weapons to India. He was looking at the military dictators (Pakistan) next to us as the preferred partner.
In internal politics, we take decisions that reflect our future and present situation.’ The foreign minister has indirectly targeted America. Significantly, due to India’s silence on Russia and Ukraine issue, America is trying to put pressure on India at this time. For which External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is constantly taking a jibe at America.
