New Delhi. The Meteorological Department has released the latest forecast for the entire country. According to the Meteorological Department, there were rains and strong winds at many places in Jammu and Kashmir. There may be snowfall and rain in the hilly areas. After this, the weather is going to remain dry in Jammu and Kashmir till May 19. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert of hailstorm and lightning for Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar districts of Uttarakhand. Stormy winds may also blow in these districts. There is yellow alert in other districts.
According to the Meteorological Department, there are chances of dust storm and hailstorm in Eastern UP and Rajasthan. Similar weather may prevail in these areas of both the states till May 16. Strong winds are also going to blow in Eastern UP and Rajasthan. There have been thunderstorms and rain in the Himalayan areas of West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, western parts of Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and interior parts of Karnataka. According to the Meteorological Department, it also rained in central parts of Maharashtra and Kerala. Hailstorm was also seen in Jharkhand, western parts of Madhya Pradesh and central areas of Maharashtra.
According to the Meteorological Department, a cyclone is formed in western UP and southern areas of Rajasthan. Due to this, there may be rain, strong winds and lightning in the eastern and central areas of the country till May 14. There are chances of rain and strong winds in Southern India also till May 16. After May 16, the process of increasing heat is going to start again in North and West India. Monsoon usually reaches Kerala on 1 June. This means that it is going to be hot in North, East and West India in the remaining days of May and June. The Meteorological Department had already said that this time the heatwave will last for a long time. However, the Meteorological Department has also predicted more than average rainfall in monsoon.
