The Meteorological Department has said that the monsoon has now advanced to some areas of South Maharashtra, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, South Chhattisgarh, southern parts of Odisha. According to the Meteorological Department, in the next 3 days, moderate rains will provide relief to people from the heat in Mumbai, Goa, Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Kerala, Karnataka and Lakshadweep as well as Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu. The Meteorological Department has also issued a red alert for rain for Sindhudurg in Maharashtra. Whereas, there is an orange alert for rain in Pathanamthitta, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod of Kerala.
The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kottayam, Idukki, Alappuzha, Thrissur, Ernakulam and Malappuram in Kerala. The Meteorological Department says that there will be rain in Northeast India as well. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Sikkim and the areas of West Bengal bordering the Himalayas till June 12. At the same time, according to the department, there will be moderate rain with thunder and lightning in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Tripura and Manipur. During this time, strong winds will also blow in these states. The Meteorological Department has already said that this time there is going to be more rain than average due to the effect of La Nina. There is every possibility of monsoon covering the entire country by the 20th of this month. This is going to help the paddy growing farmers a lot.
