According to the Meteorological Department, on Tuesday, the maximum temperature was 27.1 degrees Celsius above normal and the minimum temperature was 10.2 degrees Celsius below normal. The humidity level in the air ranged from 36 to 92 per cent. Strong winds blew throughout the day, but due to the good sunshine, there was no feeling of winter.
The Meteorological Department has forecast that in the next 24 hours, the maximum temperature can be 27 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature can be 12 degree Celsius. By February 25, the weather will take a turn and there is a possibility of light rain for two days.
Delhi-NCR air in poor category
The air of Delhi-NCR remained in the poor category on Tuesday. The worst situation has been of Ghaziabad with 297 AQI. Air quality monitoring agencies have forecast that the air quality is not likely to change much for the next two days. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the air quality index of Delhi stood at 252. AQI was recorded in Faridabad 214, Greater Noida 220, Gurugram 222 and Noida 227. According to the air standards body SAFAR, there has not been much increase in air pollution due to the high wind speed. The AQI is not likely to change much due to the high wind speed for the next two days. In the last 24 hours, the level of PM 10 in the air was 245 and the level of PM 2.5 was recorded at 102 micrograms per cubic meter.
