New Delhi. West Bengal Governor CV Anand has targeted the Mamata Banerjee government of the state over the heinous incident that took place at RG Kar Medical College. The Governor said that Bengal is not a safe place for women. Bengal has disappointed its women and the current Trinamool Congress government is responsible for this, not the society. At the same time, Governor Rao has also sought time to meet the country’s Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Health Minister JP Nadda. As soon as he gets confirmation of the meeting from these two ministers, he will immediately leave for Delhi.

The Governor further said that Bengal should be brought back to its ancient glory where women had a respectable place and rights in the society. Today women in the state are scared of ‘goons’ and this is because of the Mamata Banerjee government which is insensitive towards this issue. On the statement of the parents of the deceased doctor in the rape-death incident at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, he said, I respect the feelings of a mother. The law will do its work and whoever is guilty will be given strict punishment.

Governor CV Anand Bose, while meeting women and doctors at Raj Bhavan on Raksha Bandhan festival, said, democracy is weakening in West Bengal, this cannot go on. Today we have to pledge to protect our daughters. Society should be such where daughters and women are happy and feel safe. We have failed in our mission towards our sisters. It is time for all men to improve themselves.

On the other hand, former Principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital Dr. Sandeep Ghosh has been called for questioning by the CBI for the fourth time today. According to sources, the CBI is not satisfied with the answers given by Dr. Sandeep to the questions related to the seminar room, that is why he has been called for questioning again today.
