On Friday, the CBI raided the house of Raju Sahni, who was trapped in the chit fund scam, in Halishahr. Rs 80 lakh in cash and a revolver were recovered in the raid. After which Raju was arrested by the investigating agency. Earlier, Partha Chatterjee was arrested by the ED in the teachers recruitment scam. Rs 50 crore and 6 kg of jewelery were recovered from two flats of Parth’s close aide actor Arpita Mukherjee. Parth and Arpita are currently in jail. Seeing questions arising in the party after the arrest, Mamta had thrown Parth out of the party. However, Mamta had said in the past that till now the ED has not found any evidence against Parth.
Apart from Parth, another close aide of Mamta, Anubrata Mandal has also climbed the hands of the Central Investigation Agency. He too was arrested by the CBI. Anubrata is accused of cow smuggling. Apart from this, Anubrata Mandal is also accused of making his daughter a government school teacher without passing the exam. Now with the arrest of Raju Sahni, Mamata Banerjee and TMC are sure to get a major setback. There was no reaction from any TMC leader till the filing of news on Raju’s arrest.
