Ranchi. Congress MLA Shilpi Neha Tirki has given her clarification on the comparison of the people of Bihar with Bangladeshi intruders. MLA Shilpi said that we have not said anything like this in that two-minute statement. She said that I stand by my statement even today. I have not compared anyone with intruders, rather I have said that the demography of the state is changing. Especially in the areas around Ranchi and Koyalanchal, outsiders are coming and settling. People coming from other states are using ration cards of two places. The population of tribals is decreasing and I will also raise questions on this in the assembly. She said that I oppose settling outsiders in Jharkhand.
Shilpi Neha Tirkey said that demographic change means shift in population and change in culture and this has happened in Jharkhand. But, BJP only wants to pursue its politics. She said that I question why the number of tribals is decreasing in Ranchi. Where have the tribals gone? She said that the population balance has been disturbed due to the arrival of outsiders in the state but no one discusses this.
At the same time, he said that as far as Bangladeshi infiltration is concerned, the central government should answer this because the country’s borders are under the central government. If they are raising such questions, then they should tell which such cases have been registered. He said that the need to create Jharkhand arose because a separate state was needed for the tribals. The original residents of this place wanted a separate state but today people coming from other states are taking away their rights.
He said that it is the responsibility of the Governor to pay attention to these things. The Governor is the sole custodian of the tribals. The question is to the Governor whether he has issued a report during his tenure on the population of the tribals in the state? If not, then how will the tribals be protected?
