Ranchi: The CPI Maoist Naxalite organization has called for a Jharkhand-Bihar bandh on July 25 and a ‘Shaheedi Saptah’ from July 28 to August 3. In view of this announcement, the police department has issued an alert in both the states. The intelligence department has also advised to be extra cautious. The Jharkhand-Bihar bandh has been called in protest against the arrest of Jaya Hembram, wife of Naxalite leader Vivek, who has a bounty of Rs 1 crore on his head, and three other Naxalites. Azad, spokesperson of the Bihar-Jharkhand Special Area Committee of the organization, has issued a press release regarding this.

Hembram had come to get treatment for cancer

Let us tell you that Jharkhand Police had earlier placed a bounty of 24 lakhs on female Naxalite Jaya Hembram, which was later withdrawn. Last week, she had gone to a private hospital in Dhanbad for cancer treatment, when the police arrested her on the basis of secret information. Azad, spokesperson of Bihar-Jharkhand Special Area Committee of CPI Maoist, has claimed in a press release that along with Jaya Hembram alias Jaya Di, 3 other people Shanti Kumari, Doctor Pandey and their associates have been arrested by Jharkhand Police, but no information has been given about their arrest.

Police confiscated the posters

Naxalites have put up posters and banners announcing a shutdown on Monday-Tuesday and martyrdom week at several places in the Karaikela police station area of ​​Chaibasa district of Jharkhand. On receiving information about this, the police have confiscated the posters. The intelligence department has expressed apprehension that Naxalites may also damage railway tracks and government property. In view of this, advice has been given to maintain tight security at police pickets, posts and police stations. Police headquarters has instructed all district headquarters of the state to carry out vigilant long patrolling and keep a special watch on sensitive areas in view of the Naxalite announcement.
