Namsai (Arunachal Pradesh): Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, while targeting China in Arunachal Pradesh on Tuesday, said some things which will definitely sting the dragon. Rajnath criticized China for changing the names of several places in Arunachal Pradesh and wondered whether if India did so, would those areas of the neighboring country become ‘part of our territory’. Addressing an election rally at Namsai in Arunachal Pradesh East constituency, Singh said China’s move to change the names of 30 places in the northeastern state will not change the ground reality. He stressed that Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of India.
‘Such actions will spoil the relations between India and China’
Rajnath Singh said, ‘I want to ask China that if we change the names of various states of the neighboring country, will they be a part of our territory? Such actions will spoil the relations between India and China. We want to maintain good relations with all our neighbours. But if anyone tries to harm our self-respect, India has the ability to give a befitting reply. India recently rejected China’s renaming of some places in Arunachal as ‘foolish’ and said ‘discovered’ names would not change the fact that the state is an integral part of India, and Will always be there.
Rajnath lashed out at Stalin’s anti-Sanatan remarks
Earlier, at a rally on Monday, the Defense Minister had targeted the ruling party of Tamil Nadu over DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin’s alleged anti-Sanatan Dharma remarks and the opposition alliance over Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Shakti’ comment. Rajnatha Singh alleged that the opposition alliance was targeting Hindu faith and women to criticize the Bharatiya Janata Party. Singh had also targeted the Congress over the handing over of Katchatheevu island to Sri Lanka and said the country was paying a heavy price for the opposition party’s many past mistakes.
