Varanasi. Thousands of people come to visit Kashi Vishwanath temple in Banaras every day. In view of the crowd of people, ‘No Touch Rule’ has been implemented here on the instructions of the Police Commissioner. After this, police personnel are now seen in traditional attire in the temple. Earlier, such a rule had not come in any temple of the country, where you would have seen police personnel doing duty in the guise of a priest, wearing dhoti-kurta and Rudraksh rosary.
Now ‘No Touch Rule’ has been implemented in the sanctum sanctorum of Kashi Vishwanath Temple, under which no one will touch the visitors and there should be no scuffle with them, hence police personnel have left their uniforms and have been deployed here in the guise of priests. Sanatani dress code has been implemented for them.

For the convenience and cooperation of the devotees in the sanctum sanctorum of Kashi Vishwanath temple, the policemen deployed in priest’s clothes are welcoming the devotees with the slogan of ‘Har Har Mahadev’. They have also been given special training to behave better with the devotees and create a good atmosphere in the temple. The deployed security personnel will be seen wearing Rudraksh around the neck, Tripund on the forehead and saffron attire.
The policemen on duty are also very happy, they are giving darshan to the devotees with full concentration. The temple management says that this special arrangement has been made so that the devotees who are coming from every corner of the country to have Baba’s darshan do not face any problem. Their duty is also being changed every eight hours.
Kashi Vishwanath Dham’s SDM Shambhu Sharan Singh said that this is the first time in Kashi Vishwanath Temple, when police personnel in traditional attire are welcoming the devotees wearing dhoti-kurta and Rudraksha around their neck. This scheme of the Police Commissioner is proving to be of great help to the devotees. Amidst the devotees, the police personnel are treating the devotees efficiently and giving them darshan in the sanctum sanctorum.
