Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is a special scheme of the Government of India to provide financial assistance to farmers. It is fully financed by the Government of India. Under this scheme, all landholder farmer families are provided income support of Rs 6,000/- per year in three equal installments. The definition of family for this scheme is husband, wife and minor children. Under this scheme, the beneficiaries i.e. farmer families eligible for assistance are identified by the State Government and Union Territory Administration, keeping in mind the guidelines issued under the scheme. Under this, the installment amount is transferred directly to the beneficiary’s bank account.
how can you apply
You can apply online through CSC. Before applying, you must have an Aadhaar card, land ownership papers and a savings bank account. At the CSC, the VLE enters the farmer registration details like state, district, sub-district block and village. For certification, the Aadhaar number printed on the Aadhaar card, beneficiary name, category, bank details, land registration ID and date of birth have to be entered. Then, the VLE will fill in the land details like survey/kahta number, khasra number and area of land as mentioned in the land ownership papers. He will then upload supporting documents like land, Aadhaar and bank passbook. Then the self-declaration is accepted and the application form is saved. After saving the application form, payment has to be made through the CSC ID. You can check the beneficiary status through the Aadhaar number.
Who cannot avail the benefit of PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi
Beneficiaries of certain categories with strong economic status are not eligible for the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi. These include all institutional land holders. Farmer families who are engaged in one or more things. Like he

Former and present Ministers/Ministers of State and former/present members of Lok Sabha/Rajya Sabha/State Legislative Assemblies/State Legislative Councils, former and present Mayors of Municipal Corporations, former and present Chairpersons of District Panchayats.
Also, all serving or retired officers and employees of the Ministries/Offices/Departments of the Central/State Government and its field units, Central or State Public Sector Undertakings and attached offices/autonomous bodies under the Government and regular employees of local bodies (except Multi Tasking Staff/Category IV/Group D employees).
Also, all retired/retired pensioners whose monthly pension is Rs 10,000/- or more (except Multi Tasking Staff/Class IV/Group D employees). Individuals who have paid income tax in the previous tax assessment year. Also professionals like registered doctors, engineers, lawyers, chartered accountants and architects who are practicing and carrying on their profession are not eligible to get the benefit of this scheme.
