CBI is in action mode in the rape and murder of lady doctor in Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College. Employees, students, officers and friends of the junior doctor are being questioned. But there is one person whom CBI is not in a mood to leave. CBI officers are sure that this person has all the information related to the murder of the doctor. He can tell why the accused Sanjay Roy killed this girl. He is Dr. Sandeep Ghosh, EX Principal of RG Kar College. CBI is continuously questioning him for 3 days. 1. At the time when the junior doctor was brutalised, Dr. Sandeep Ghosh was the principal of RG College. It is believed that he has all the information related to the incident. That is why the CBI has been questioning him for 3 days. He was questioned continuously for 13 hours on Sunday as well. He came out of the CBI office after questioning at 12 midnight.
2. Officials said that Dr. Sandeep Ghosh’s mobile phone records are also being investigated. Efforts are being made to find out whether the call to the junior doctor’s parents was made on his instructions. Whether the news of calling the murder a suicide was spread on his instructions. The girl’s parents suspect that he may be behind this.
3. Head of Chest Medicine Department Arunav Chaudhary has told CBI that he did not ask the Assistant Superintendent to declare the murder as suicide. But the biggest question is why did ex-principal Sandeep Ghosh order renovation on the same day where such a heinous crime took place? Was there a deliberate attempt to hide something?
4. CBI has so far questioned several unit heads and senior doctors. Now the ex-principal is being questioned about their statements. He is being questioned about what happened from finding the dead body to calling the police after 40 minutes. It is also being asked why it took so long to inform the police.
5. CBI officials want to know if Dr Ghosh was first informed about the body through a phone call or text/WhatsApp message. Any such text or message could be crucial evidence in this case. An SI of Kolkata Police has also been called. Accused Sanjay Roy lived in his barrack.
6. The driver of the cab in which the victim used to travel has also been summoned so that the real motive behind the murder can be ascertained. CBI sources say that many statements of the ex-principal do not match with those of other doctors and staff. It seems that Dr. Ghosh is trying to hide something.
7. Dr. Sandeep Ghosh told the media on Sunday, I have not been arrested. Please do not spread rumours. I have not even been questioned face to face with the accused Sanjay Roy. On this occasion, he was seen pleading in front of the media. The girl’s parents feel that this person has all the information.
8. On the other hand, Sanjay Roy, accused of rape and murder, is going to undergo a psychological test. A CBI team is bringing him to Delhi.
