Curd is very beneficial for health, in Ayurveda, curd is considered a food that cures stomach related diseases and improves the digestive system. Consuming curd, especially in summer, keeps the body cool and strengthens digestion. By eating curd the body gets calcium and vitamins. Due to which bones become stronger. Curd contains nutrients like Vitamin-B12, probiotic, potassium, magnesium, calcium and protein which are beneficial for the body. But do you know that eating curd mixed with some things or eating it after eating curd can cause harm to health. What should not be eaten with and after curd?
Milk or its products with curd- In Ayurveda, milk or things made from it should not be consumed with curd. Some people drink kheer or milk with curd, which can prove harmful. In Ayurveda, consumption of curd and milk together is considered prohibited. It is believed that curd is light and easily digestible food whereas milk is heavy and slow to digest. Consuming both together can cause gas, acidity, bloating and digestive problems.
Mango with curd- In summer, people eat curd in their meal and then cut mango and eat it. But eating these two things together can cause harm to you. Mango should not be consumed with curd. Mango is of hot nature and curd is of cold nature. Consuming both together can create toxins in the body. Doing this can cause digestive and skin related problems.
Fish with curd- Some people use curd instead of tomatoes while preparing fish, but doing so is not good for health. Eating fish with curd can cause harm. This may cause stomach ache, indigestion, gas and vomiting. Therefore, fish should not be eaten with curd or after curd.
Onion with curd- The combination of curd and pyaad is also not considered good in Ayurveda. Some people eat onion in food and eat curd along with it, both these things can cause harm. It is also not right to eat onion mixed with curd. This may cause allergies, gas problems or vomiting.
Banana with curd- Banana is eaten with milk and some people also eat banana with curd. Many times people prepare and eat fruit raita in which banana is used. But in Ayurveda, eating curd and banana together is not considered right. This can have a very bad effect on health. You should eat fruits only about 2 hours after eating curd.
