Beijing: Before the G-20 in India, China is playing tricks. After showing Arunachal Pradesh and Aksai Chin in its new map, now China has made a new move. China is now engaged in increasing underground facilities in Aksai Chin. This is the area about which India often claims that China has illegally occupied it. The purpose of building bunkers and underground in Aksai Chin is to protect military resources from any air or missile attack. China’s map has been opposed by India. But after this new development, the ruckus is sure to increase once again.
China released new map
China released a new map on Monday on the occasion of the National Surveying and Mapping Promotion Day held every year. In this map, he had shown Arunachal Pradesh and Aksai Chin in his border. Satellite images from the American company Maxar Technologies show that new bunkers and underground facilities have been built at six places in an area of about 15 square kilometers in Aksai Chin on the Chinese side. The place where the construction has taken place is about 70 km from the Line of Actual Control (LAC). While troops were deployed in the area after the confrontation with China started in May 2020. Most of the land was barren and there was little construction activity apart from a few facilities to house some equipment.
Occupied since 1962
Aksai Chin is shown in the new map released on Monday. China had occupied it after the 1962 war. At the same time, China describes Arunachal Pradesh as Southern Tibet. Taiwan is also included in this map, which China considers a part of its territory. Along with this, China has also declared a large part of the South China Sea as its part. This is the third time in recent years that China has renamed places in the northeastern state. China has been irritated since the G20 event was organized in Itanagar, the capital of Arunachal Pradesh. China was missing from this programme.

what did jaishankar say
On China’s map dispute, India’s Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar answered this in a conversation with a news channel. He said, ‘China has this old habit that it includes areas in its map that belong to other countries.’ He further said, ‘Other people’s territories do not become yours by making strange claims.’ India has rejected China’s new map and lodged a strong response with China in this matter, saying that such moves by the Chinese side only complicate the resolution of the border issue.
