Ashish Dixit, Narmadapuram.
Whatever I am today, I am because of Urdu. Having come to Delhi from Makhannagar in search of employment and taking care of the family, Urdu earned him respect. Urdu has given my name in the country and the world. It is a matter of happiness to get any kind of award, then there is no bigger award in India than the award of Sahitya Akademi. This is to say of the famous Urdu poet Chandrabhan Khayal. Poet Khayal has received the Sahitya Akademi Award in Urdu language for his poetry collection Taaz Hawa Ki Tabishen. During a special discussion with Navdunia, Khayal shared his experiences as well as expressed his passion for writing poetry and poetry in Urdu language.
Read Ghalib since childhood: About how he got interested in Urdu language poetry, Khyal told that he read Ghalib since childhood. Also read Hindi poets. Bundeli tongue was also liked. Bundeli language corresponded to Urdu at that time. Thakur Braj Mohan Saheb of Makhannagar said that if you want to write either in Hindi or in Urdu then you should know Urdu language. This area is not familiar with Urdu language, how will you do it? The words of Thakur Braj Mohan gave direction. Somehow the Urdu-Hindi teacher book was found. Khyal told that then my age was 13-14 years. Learned Urdu language. There used to be a Jagdish reading room in front of the house. There were books in it. That’s where the hobby grew.
Maestro met in Delhi: Chandrabhan Khayal told about his Delhi journey, had come to Delhi from Makhannagar in the year 1966 to look for employment and take care of the family. The financial condition was not good, there were nine siblings. When he came to Delhi, he met a Persian scholar and came to Delhi from Makhannagar to look for employment and take care of his family, and when he came to Delhi, he met Pandit Ram Krishna Mujjar, a Persian scholar and Urdu poet. I made him my master. After which the tongue became clear and took hold in Urdu language.
This is how Chandrabhan became Khayal: Chandrabhan’s journey to become a Khayal is also very interesting. During the discussion, he told that the master of Mujjar Sahib was Raghupati Sahai Firaq Gorakhpuri, who received the Memorandum Peeth Award. When the Ustad introduced Firaq Gorakhpuri, he asked him to recite his composition. Which Firaq Gorakhpuri liked so much that he said that there is a lot of care in it, so from today onwards his words will be taken care of.
Now the hobby of Urdu is decreasing: At present, about the status of Urdu language, Khyal says that people’s fondness for Urdu is decreasing, Urdu language is not used even in schools, only Urdu language is taught in madrassas. has been
