Meta’s instant messaging app has crores of users across the world. In India too, more than 50 crore people use this app. In such a situation, users wait for the new features of WhatsApp. WhatsApp also keeps adding new features to the app as per the demand of its users.
New option to share status
This new privacy feature of WhatsApp has been seen in the Android beta version. According to the report of WABetaInfo, this feature has been seen in Android version 2.24.12.27. In this, while sharing the status, users will be asked from whom they want to hide it and whom they want to show it. Users can show the status to whom they want to share it according to their convenience.

A glimpse of this feature can be seen in the screenshot shared by WABetaInfo. While sharing the status, users will be asked whether they want to share their status with All Contacts or with any Specific Contacts. If the user selects All Contacts, then his status will be visible to all users.
Privacy feature will be upgraded
Currently, users see three options while sharing status, which include My Contacts, My contacts Except and Only Share With Specific contacts. Users can share their status either to their contacts or to all except a specific contact or to selected contacts. In the new privacy feature, users will get only two options.

In the All Contacts option, the user will get the option to choose which contact he does not want to share his status with. Whereas, in the Specific Contacts option, the user will get the option to share his status with some limited contacts. This clearly means that now users will have to choose one of these two options while sharing their status.
