New Delhi. A case of rejection of Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) application seeking permission for two election programs and use of abusive language in response has come to light. A day after AAP’s allegations, on Saturday the Haryana government suspended the Sub-Divisional Magistrate-cum-Assistant Returning Officer of Kaithal.
According to an official order, Haryana Civil Service (HCS) officer Brahm Prakash has been suspended with immediate effect. The order states that during the period of suspension, Prakash will have his headquarters in the office of the Chief Secretary to the Haryana Government in Chandigarh and he will not be able to leave the headquarters without the permission of the Chief Secretary.

AAP had on Friday alleged that its application seeking permission from the concerned authorities to hold two election programs was rejected and abusive language was used in response. AAP’s Haryana unit chief Sushil Gupta, who is contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Kurukshetra seat, said that he had sought permission for two election programs to be held on April 7. Gupta alleged, ‘In the reply we received, in one case it was mentioned in writing that the permission had been refused. In the second case, abuses were written in the column where reasons for approval or rejection were to be given.
It was learned that a computer operator in the office of Sub Divisional Magistrate Brahma Prakash, who holds the charge of Assistant Returning Officer (ARO) in Kaithal, allegedly used ‘inappropriate language’ while denying permission to AAP to hold election rallies in the district. Used. After this, SDM Brahma Prakash suspended five computer operators of his office with immediate effect and also directed the police to conduct a thorough investigation.
