New Delhi. While walking on the road, you must have seen traffic signals installed at many places. It would be interesting to know when it started. The first electric traffic light was installed in America on 5 August 1914 and at that time it had only green and red lights, one for stopping and the other for moving. Later, a third yellow light was also installed in it.
Talking about another big event of this day, it was on 5th August in the year 1991 when Justice Leela Seth was made the Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh High Court. She became the first woman to achieve this position. The credit of being the first woman judge of Delhi High Court also goes to her.
