Infiltration from Bangladesh: Infiltration from Bangladesh: To foil the attempts of infiltration, the vigilance of the Border Security Force is continuously increasing on the India-Bangladesh International Border. At the same time, Bangladeshi infiltrators, troubled by this vigilance of the BSF, have started looking for new routes. One such route has been revealed by a Bangladeshi citizen arrested from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. The surprising thing here is that in the greed of a few rupees, some Indian citizens are telling the infiltration routes to Bangladeshi infiltrators.
According to DCP Usha Rangnani, on August 4, the Bureau of Immigration handed over a Bangladeshi citizen to the IGI Airport Police Station for action. This Bangladeshi citizen named Mohammad Sakib Hasan was deported from Malta via Istanbul. On reaching IGI Airport, an Indian passport was recovered from his possession, in which his name was Abu Hasan Sheikh and the address was recorded as Vishnupur in West Bengal. Initial investigation by the Bureau of Immigration revealed that the accused is originally from Bangladesh.

During interrogation, the accused revealed that till a few years ago, he used to run his household with the help of labour. Despite working hard, it was becoming difficult for him to earn his daily bread. A few years ago, through a relative, he came to know about Mir Anwar Hasan of West Bengal, who used to send Bangladeshi citizens abroad by getting them Indian passports. In order to go abroad, he contacted Mir Anwar Hasan. Mir Hasan demanded two lakh rupees in exchange for sending him abroad. To go abroad, he handed over the entire capital of his life to Mir Anwar.
After this, Mir made arrangements for him to enter India illegally through the river. On Mir’s call, he entered India by infiltrating through the river. After entering India, he stayed in West Bengal for a few days. Meanwhile, Mir arranged for his Aadhar card, PAN card, birth certificate and other documents. A passport was also issued for him on the same documents. A few days after the passport arrived, visas for Dubai and Malta were also arranged and he left for Dubai from Mumbai airport.

After staying in Dubai for eight-nine months, he went to Malta where he stayed for about two years. While staying in Malta, he applied for visa extension. After which, he came to know that his passport has been cancelled. On receiving this news, Malta’s security agencies detained Saqib and deported him to India. On reaching Delhi airport, the Bureau of Immigration detained Saqib and handed him over to the airport police for further action. On the basis of Saqib’s revelations, the police have also arrested Mir Anwar Hasan from West Bengal.
