Delhi Airport: A person’s actions tell everything, something similar has happened at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. The actions of two passengers coming from Dubai were such that the customs preventive team became suspicious as soon as they saw them. Therefore, they were stopped as soon as they crossed the green channel.
According to a senior customs official, both the passengers had arrived at IGI Airport from Dubai by Air India flight AI-948. As soon as they entered the terminal, the customs preventive team present in the terminal became suspicious after seeing their mutual whispering and repeated attempts to settle themselves.
By now, the customs had also come to know about the activities of these two passengers in the flight. Therefore, the customs preventive team started waiting for both the passengers in the green channel under customs. As soon as they crossed the green channel, the customs preventive team stopped both the passengers for investigation.

Customs Joint Commissioner N. Varun Kaundinya said that during the search, gold in paste form weighing about 1430.30 grams was recovered from the possession of both. The price of this gold in the Indian market is estimated to be around Rs 91,44,952. Customs Preventive interrogation of the two accused passengers is going on.
Joint Commissioner N. Varun Kaundinya said that the gold recovered from the possession of both the passengers has been confiscated under Section 110 of the Customs Act. Both the passengers have been arrested on charges of smuggling under Section 104 of the Customs Act.
